Nova Minerals ships processing plant equipment to Alaska, Targets Antimony production in 2027

Nova Minerals Limited CEO Christopher Gerteisen joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss a major milestone in the company’s strategy to establish a secure, vertically integrated antimony supply chain in the United States. The company has begun shipping key processing and refining equipment to its Port MacKenzie facility in Alaska, advancing plans to become a domestic producer of the critical mineral. Gerteisen said the shipment marks the culmination of a six-month procurement and logistics campaign that secured and mobilized a complete antimony processing and refining plant. Nearly 500 tons of equipment—including crushing, ore sorting, milling, flotation and refining systems—have been transported in more than 40 shipping containers and multiple oversized loads. The equipment departed Seattle by barge and is expected to arrive at Port MacKenzie in early September, allowing construction activities to begin shortly thereafter. The company noted that acquiring a modern, recently decommissioned processing facility significantly reduced capital costs while accelerating the timeline toward production. Nova is targeting initial antimony production in 2027, positioning itself as one of the first companies to establish a fully integrated antimony mining, processing and refining operation in Alaska. The antimony initiative is fully funded through Nova’s US$43.4 million Defense Production Act Title III award, underscoring the strategic importance of securing domestic supplies of critical minerals. Antimony is considered essential for defense applications, energy storage technologies, semiconductors and various industrial uses, making it a key component of U.S. national and economic security objectives. Beyond antimony, Nova Minerals continues to advance the Estelle Gold and Critical Minerals Project, one of the largest undeveloped gold deposits in the world. Located in Alaska, the project combines large-scale gold development potential with growing exposure to critical minerals, positioning the company at the intersection of precious metals and strategic resource supply chains. Gerteisen said the arrival of the processing equipment represents a significant step toward establishing a reliable domestic source of antimony while strengthening the United States’ critical mineral independence. #proactiveinvestors #novamineralslimited #nasdq #nva #asx #nva #mining #estellegoldproject #antimony #CriticalMinerals #AlaskaMining #GoldMining #USDefense #ResourceDevelopment #MiningNews #SupplyChainSecurity #EstelleProject
